2016 Pilot Debuts, Ridgeline Teaser Photo Released

Last week, Honda debuted the all-new 2016 Pilot at the Chicago Auto Show and it looks more sleek and refined than the outgoing model’s utilitarian and boxy design.  The front of the Pilot is very much like that of the CR-V while the side has a sloping roofline and the rear doors appear to be longer, possibly indicating the Pilot has increased its size.  The rear of the 2016 Pilot is very different, showing off a curved window and boomerang LED taillights.

The interior of the Pilot has a lot of new technology as well, to include an 8-inch touch screen audio interface, a Blu-ray player,push-button start and enhanced connectivity for almost any gadget.  The 2016 Pilot will also offer a panoramic roof and will integrate safety technology such as Honda LaneWatch, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Honda expects the 2016 Pilot to ace its IIHS crash tests when they take place, and they are also bringing a new engine coupled with a 300 pound weight loss to achieve optimum fuel economy.  Keep on the lookout for more information, as the 2016 Honda Pilot is due to be in showrooms later this year!

Also remember to check out the sketch that Honda released of the new Ridgeline, showing off a redesigned exterior.
